None of the 18 new cases of COVID-19 reported on Tuesday were among Hawaii County residents.
Fifteen of the new cases were on Oahu with Maui and Kauai each reporting one case. In addition, one case was diagnosed among a person with unknown residency, according to the COVID-19 Joint Information Center.
Of the cases with known residency, 14 were Hawaii residents and three were visitors, according to the center. Two of the 18 cases were among pediatric patients.
Hawaii’s total case count now stands at 917, according the center. One prior case was removed from the list “due to updated lab information.”
Oahu has accounted for the majority of cases with 652 followed by Maui County with 123 cases, Hawaii County with 87 and Kauai County with 38
Of the Hawaii residents who have tested positive for COVID-19, 736 of those cases have since recovered and been released from isolation. That includes 84 of the 87 cases on Hawaii Island.
Statewide, 113 patients have required hospitalization, including two on Hawaii Island.
Eighteen people have died from the novel coronavirus, according to the center. Twelve of the deaths were on Oahu and six on Maui.
