State health officials announced three dozen new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing Hawaii’s total number of cases to 1,130.

All but two of the 36 new cases were on Oahu, according to the COVID-19 Joint Information Center. Hawaii Island and Kauai each recorded one new positive case Thursday.

To date, Oahu has recorded most of the cases with 842 positive tests, followed by Maui County with 130 cases, Hawaii County with 97 and Kauai County with 43.

Of the Hawaii residents who have tested positive for COVID-19, 840 of those cases have since recovered and been released from isolation. That includes 89 of the 97 cases on Hawaii Island.

Statewide, 123 patients have required hospitalization, including three on Hawaii Island.

Of the 19 deaths reported in Hawaii, 13 were on Oahu and six were on Maui.
