State health officials announced a 42 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing Hawaii’s total number of cases to 1,200.

Thirty-eight of the new cases were on Oahu while the remaining four cases were split between Hawaii Island and Maui, according to the COVID-19 Joint Information Center.

To date, Oahu has recorded 905 positive tests, followed by Maui County with 133 cases, Hawaii County with 100 and Kauai County with 43.

Of the Hawaii residents who have tested positive for COVID-19, 872 of those cases have since recovered and been released from isolation. That includes 89 of the 100 cases on Hawaii Island.

Statewide, 125 patients have required hospitalization, including three on Hawaii Island.

Of the 19 deaths reported in Hawaii, 13 were on Oahu and six were on Maui.
