Marcellino Torricer

Marcellino “Cino” Torricer, 83, of Hilo, died June 27, 2020 at home. Born Jan. 5, 1937, in Kukuihaele, he was a Circuit Court reporter and an administrative assistant to Judge Kubota in Hilo, a former owner of JAC Video, Inc., and a member of several Elvis Presley fan clubs.

Memorial donations may be made to The Episcopal Church of the Holy Apostles, 1407 Kapiolani St., Hilo, HI, 96720; or Hawaii Care Choices, 1011 Waianuenue Ave., Hilo, HI 96720.

Services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by wife, Judith Torricer of Hilo; daughter, Aimee (Brian) Arase of Hawaii; son, Arthur (Jane) Torricer of Hilo; sister, Magdalena Adarme-McLean of Kona; three grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Lucy Pavao

Lucy Pavao, 88, of Hilo, died May 8, 2020, at home. Born Oct. 8, 1931, in Hilo, she was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.

Friends may call at 9 a.m July 17 at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Mass. Visitation from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.

She is survived by husband, Albert Pavao of Hilo; sons, Larry (Josie) Pavao of California, Jerry (Linda) Pavao of Hilo and Gary Pavao of Hilo; sister, Shirley Kottinger of California; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Edward Gomes III

Edward “Eddie Boy” Walter Gomes III, 63, of Pahoa, died June 26, 2020 at his home. Born Jan. 27, 1957 in Honolulu, he was a U.S. Army veteran, school bus driver for Gomes Bus Service, mechanic for Don’s Ground Transportation, Hawaii County Ship Yard worker, and solo bike rider.

Services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by wife, Donna Gomes of Pahoa; sons, Shane (Lisa) Waiau of North Carolina, Edward Gomes-Koehnen of Pahoa, Jessie (Justina) Gomes and Keaau Gomes, both of Keaau, Aaron Becker of Oahu, and Brian (Janell) McCabe of Nevada; daughters, Leilani Waiau, Annette Gomes of Pasco, Tracey (Joe) Malepeai of Nevada, Donned (Edwen) Alatini and Lesly Gomes, both of Pahoa, and Raylynn Gomes of Oahu; brothers, Donald (Jennifer) Gomes of Arizona, Vernon (Sabrina) Gomes of Oahu, Lewellyn (Julia) Gomes of Honokaa; sisters, Kathleen Gomes of Hilo, Darlene (Emilo) Villanueva of Minnesota, and Monica (Marcus) Gouveia of Pahoa; 26 grandchilren; two great-grandchilren; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins.

Felice Dolfi

Felice “John” Cammillo Dolfi, 85, of Pahoa, died June 27, 2020, at Hilo Medical Center. Born March 1, 1935 in Detroit, he was the owner and heavy equipment operator for Hauling Ass Trucking.

Services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by companion, Heather Hedenschau of Pahoa; and sons, Christopher Carroll of Pahoa and Taylor Dolfi-Hedenschau of Pahoa.
