Hawaii County for a fourth straight day on Monday reported new cases of COVID-19 as the island’s total case count reached 114 since Feb. 28.
A total of 12 new cases were reported across the state, including the one from Hawaii County and 11 from Oahu, according to the COVID-19 Joint Information Center. Neither Kauai nor Maui counties reported new cases. Maui last reported a new case on July 13 on Kauai on July 10.
To date, the state has recorded 1,393 cases with Oahu accounting for the majority of the cases at 1,079, followed by Maui County with 135 cases, Hawaii County with 114 and Kauai County with 43. Twenty-two residents have tested positive while out of the state.
Of the Hawaii residents who have tested positive for COVID-19, 1,057 of those cases have since recovered and been released from isolation. That includes 104 of the 114 cases on Hawaii Island.
Statewide, 150 patients have required hospitalization, including four on Hawaii Island.
Of the 24 deaths reported to date among Hawaii residents, 17 were on Oahu, six were on Maui and one was a Kauai resident receiving treatment in Arizona at the time he died.
