Brandon Cullio

Brandon “Cujo” Kelly Cullio, 48, of Mountain View, died June 23, 2020 at Hilo Medical Center. Born June 15, 1972, in Hilo, he was the owner of Ohana Fencing.

Services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by companion, Lia Enaena of Mountain View; son, Keawe-Sam Cullio of Mountain View; daughters, Shaberlei Oku of Las Vegas and Kairell-Lee Cullio of Mountain View; mother, Barbara Cullio of Keaau; brother, Conrad (Roz) Cullio of Keaau; sister, Renee Wilson of Volcano; one grandson; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Leslie Kanakaole

Leslie “Kanak” Kahuwila Ioane Kanakaole, 83, of Hilo, died July 19, 2020 at his residence. Born March 31, 1937, in Hilo, he was a retired design draftsman for Hawaii Electric Light Co. and a player/coach of the Hilo Fil-American Fastpitch Softball Team.

Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. July 29 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel for a 10 a.m. service. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire.

He is survived by wife, Carol Kanakaole of Hilo; sons, Kahuwila (MeiLin) Kanakaole of Kapaa, Kauai, and Kerry (Lea) Kanakaole of Hilo; daughter, Kaohu Kanakaole of Ogden, Utah; stepsons, Anthony (Susan) Botelho of California, James Botelho of Hilo and Michael (Celia) Botelho of California; stepdaughter, Shari (David) Stevenson of California; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
