The only way out
If the latest federal actions in Portland, Oregon, didn’t send chills down your spine, you better check your pulse.
Peaceful protest is a constitutional right. Being hammered by batons, sprayed in the face with pepper spray, and abducted by unidentified masked gunmen sicced on citizens by the president is not okay and should not be part of the American playbook.
Will secret police become as American as apple pie? And what ever happened to states’ rights — or is it just another slogan used by Republican leadership when it suits their objectives?
Beware: If it can happen to law-abiding citizens in Oregon (or Chicago or New York), it can happen to you.
Americans have a clear choice in November. They can re-elect a pathologically lying fascist put in office with the help of foreign adversary(ies), or choose a time-tested, middle of the road leader who might be able to stop some of the bleeding.

Is driver’s education required?
With all the COVID-19 concerns in Hawaii and the rest of the world, there appears to be another at risk issue that seems to be getting worse.
Drivers are ignoring the basic rules of the road. Driving through red lights, not stopping on a red light and turning right, ignoring stop signs and driving through crosswalks when a pedestrian is crossing in front of them.
Is driver’s education required in Hawaii?
I’m waiting for the day when the tourists return only to amplify this problem.
