Jose Martinez

Jose “Marty” Martinez, 87, of Kailua-Kona, died July 27, 2020, at Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born June 3, 1933, in Whittier, CA, he was a retired assistant manager for KTA Stores in Kailua-Kona and Keauhou, former sales associate for Paradise Beverages and a retired U.S. Air Force veteran.

Private service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice of Kona, PO Box 4130, Kailua-Kona, HI 96745.

He is survived by children, Monica (Sean Gallagher) Martinez-Gallagher of Oregon, Ramona (Mike) Witek, Lorraine (Shari Goodman) Martinez, Manolette Martinez all of California; grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Dorothy Jose

Dorothy Jose, 92, of Holualoa, died Aug. 7, 2020, at Kona Community Hospital. Born April 17, 1928, in Kealakekua, she was a housewife and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Private service to be held at a later date.

She is survived by husband, Tony Jose of Holualoa; son, Dennis (Sharon) Jose of Wailua, Kauai; daughter, Dorothy (Michael) Yeaman of Sacramento, CA; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Roger Lidia

Roger Don Lidia, 62, of Hilo died Aug. 8, 2020, at Legacy Hilo Rehabilitation &Nursing Center. Born in Midland, Texas, he was an electric technician and program coordinator at CCES in UHH and a self-employed system engineer.

Private services held.

He is survived by wife, Mayumi Lidia-Hachiya of Hilo; son, Sean Lidia of Chiba, Japan; brothers, David (Larysa) Lidia of San Diego, and James (Dixie) Lidia of Mesa, AZ; sister, Gail (Dwight) Carrell of Waddell, AZ; numerous nieces and nephews.

Charles Lane

Charles “Chuck” Allen Lane, 78, of Kealakekua, died July 26, 2020, at Kona Community Hospital. Born June 11, 1942, in San Francisco, he was retired bartender and a former chef.

He is survived by daughter, Katherine (David Baird) Lane; sons, Adam Lane, Matthew (Nikki) Lane all of California; brothers, Tom Lane of Florida, Mike (Delores) Lane of Georgia, Steve Lane of Ohio; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Rosabella Sacayanan

Rosabella “Rose” Agustin Sacayanan, 71, of Papaaloa, died July 24, 2020 at her residence. Born Feb. 4, 1949, in Paoay, Philippines, she was a retired vegetable nursery worker for Mauna Kea Packing Inc. and a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Papaaloa.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Aug. 28 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Papaaloa for a 10 a.m Mass. Burial to follow at the church cemetery.

She is survived by daughters, Lina (Giovanni) Sacayanan and Raquel (Donald) Sacayanan of Papaaloa; sons, Ben (Loida) Sacayanan of Honokaa and Rodel (Mary) Sacayanan of Waialua; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
