Virgilio Saribay

Virgilio Asuncion Saribay, 68, of Keaau, died Aug. 21, 2020 at his residence. Born Jan. 4, 1952, in Ilocos Sur, Philippines, he was a carpenter.

He is survived by wife, Virgie Saribay of Keaau; sons, Ramil (Renee) Saribay and Brian (Karine) Saribay of Maui, Chris (Genalyn) Saribay of Keaau; seven grandchildren; Corazon (Freddie) Barrios and Antonia (Pablo) Alaoan of Pahala, Delia (Elpidio) Blanco of Vallejo, California; brothers, Sidro (Aida) Saribay of Hilo, Jose (Milagros) Saribay of Vallejo, California, Francisco (Gloria) Saribay and Ricky (Aisa Pabre) Saribay of Honolulu; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Virgilio Capco

Virgilio L. Capco, 78, of Pahoa, died Sept. 14, 2020 at Hilo Medical Center. Born Aug. 31, 1942, in Manila, Philippines, he was a journeyman machinist for Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Co.

Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 28 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a service. Urn committal to follow at Homelani Memorial Park (Ilima Section) at 10:30 a.m. Family requests sympathy cards in lieu of flowers

He is survived by wife, Rosario Capco of Pahoa; daughters, Gynna-Virginia Loper of Boise, Idaho, Victoria Capco of Manila, Philippines, Maria Velia Ganal of Surrey, Canada, Vilma Capco-Parenas and Vivianne Maeda of Hilo; numerous grandchildren.

George Lincoln

George Kepilino Lincoln, 80, of Kailua-Kona, died Sept. 11, 2020 in Kailua-Kona. Born May 23, 1940, in Kealia, he was retired from West Hawaii Concrete.

Services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by son, Andrew (Charmaine) Lincoln of Kailua-Kona; daughter Jorgianne (Stanley) Haanio of Kealakekua; brothers, Elmo (Sylvia) Lincoln of Waimea and Arthur Lincoln Jr. of Oahu; sisters, Helene Kelly and Bernice Auelua of Oahu and Nancietta Ha’alilio of Kealia; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Asae Kumiji

Asae Kumiji, 95, of Hilo, died Sept. 7, 2020, at a private care home. Born in Olaa, she was a retired seamstress for the former Kamehameha Garment Factory.

Private services held. Family requests no flowers and no koden (monetary gifts).

She is survived by sons, Leslie (Gail) Kumiji of Hilo and Gary Kumiji of Honolulu; daughter, Joyce Kalawe of Keaau; sister-in-law, Margie Shigeoka of Hilo; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Theresa Caravalho

Theresa Mae Caravalho, 68, of Holualoa, died Sept. 6, 2020 at her residence. Born Jan. 18, 1952, in Honokaa, she was a housekeeper at Casa De Emdeko condominiums and a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church.

Services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by husband, David Caravalho; sons, David (Adele Costa) Caravalho Jr. and Melo (Amber Mendez) Caravalho, all of Holualoa; daughters, Cindy (Justin Mason) Caravalho and Destiny Caravalho of Holualoa and Shelly (Franklin Enos) Caravalho of Hilo; brothers, Ralph (Winnie) Borling of Hilo and Leroy (Amy) Borling of Alaska; sisers, Deborah Salas of Honolulu, Helen (Ernest) Carvalho of Keauhou and Mary-Ann Estrells of Oahu; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Randall Garrison

Randall “Randy” Scott Garrison, 60, of Ka‘u, died Sept. 13, 2020, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Sept. 3, 1960, in Redwood City, California, he was a retired roadworker for Caltrans and a logistics associate for Target.
