Police locate Hilo girl, 10, who was reported missing

Update: The Hawaii Police Department reported Thursday evening it had found 10-year-old Chennah K. Caitano who was missing for almost a week. She was found in good health in Fern Forest Subdivision in upper Puna.

Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a juvenile female who was reported missing.

Ten-year old Chennah K. Caitano was last seen around 4:35 p.m. Sept. 18 in the 100 block area of Ululani Street in Hilo, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

She is described as being 4 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing 80 pounds, with long brown frizzy hair and brown eyes, according to police. Caitano was last seen wearing navy blue leggings, a gray T-shirt with a koala on the front and pink sandals.
