Kona Elks Club to host drive- through trick-or-treat event

The Kona Elks Club will host a drive-through trick-or-treat for keiki from 4 to 5 p.m. Saturday at its lodge off Pawai Place in Kailua-Kona. The club says it will have treat bags ready for the little ones and all you have to do is be brave enough to stop!

Toastmasters announces new area director

Keith Olson has been selected to guide Hawaii Island Toastmasters (Area 12) clubs serving Kona, Waimea and Hilo.

Olson, who has been a Toastmaster since 2013, has competed in speech competitions and has served in several club officer roles. His goal as area director is to support and motivate island clubs during this unprecedented time has they transition to online club meetings.
