More than 1,400 residents in South Kona were without power for over an hour Tuesday evening, Hawaiian Electric reported.

At 5:40 p.m., the utility said 1,406 customers lost power between Kealakekua and Captain Cook.

Power was restored to all customers by 7:10 p.m. No additional information was provided regarding the outage.
