Police seek public’s help locating missing Waimea man

Update: Hawaii Island police reported Wednesday that Donny Mateo Bruno Jr. was found in good health.

Hawaii Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a 33-year-old Waimea man who has been missing for nearly two months.

Donny Mateo Bruno Jr. is described as being 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing 215 pounds with brown eyes and black hair, according to the Hawaii Police Department. Bruno, who also has tribal tattoos down both arms and on his chest, is known to frequent the Hilo and Waimea areas.

Police said Bruno’s family have not seen or heard from him since Oct. 20 and are concerned for his welfare.
