The Hawaii Fire Department responded to an early morning fire Saturday in Kona’s Old Industrial Area.

Upon arrival, HFD found heavy smoke and flames at Laundry Two, a commercial laundry linen business on Pawai Place.

Firefighters from the Kailua-Kona station made entry to the approximately 4,000-square-foot metal building through the front roll-up door and extinguished the blaze.

There was no one inside the building when firefighters responded.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
