Police investigating theft of excavator from Waikoloa area

Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s assistance with an investigation involving the theft of an excavator from the Waikoloa area valued at $35,000.

Unknown suspects removed a 2008 yellow and black-colored CAT 303CR Mini Excavator from an agricultural lot near mile marker 9 on Highway 190 sometime between 9 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday, according to the Hawaii Police Department. The excavator features a decal with the letters “T & B” in white lettering on a black background.
