UPDATE: Big Island police reported Tuesday afternoon that the body of 30-year-old Tyler Armstrong was located earlier in the day in an empty lot near his residence. Next of kin have been notified and have positively identified Armstrong’s body.

The cause of death is unknown, although police do not suspect foul play. An autopsy will be performed later this week to determine the exact cause of death.

Big Island police are asking for the public’s assistance locating a 30-year-old Kailua-Kona man who was reported missing.

Tyler Armstrong was last seen Friday leaving from his place of employment at Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keahole, according to the Hawaii Police Department. He is described as being Caucasian, 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 195 pounds, with brown hair and short blond hair.
