Update: Big Island police reported Friday morning that 84-year-old Hideyori Toyotomi, who was reported missing, was located on Oahu in good health.

Big Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 84-year-old Hideyori Toyotomi, who was reported as missing.

Toyotomi, who suffers from dementia, is described as Japanese, 5, feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with long, straight, white hair, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

He was last seen on the afternoon of Feb. 23, sitting on a sidewalk on Kuakini Highway, north of the intersection with Henry Street in Kailua-Kona. He was wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts, and slippers. He is known to frequent the above-mentioned area, as well as the Kailua Pier, and the general area of Hilo.
