Iseko Kawaguchi
Iseko Nakano Kawaguchi, 91, of Mountain View, died March 11, 2021, at a private care home. Born in Pahoa, she was a retired waitress from Volcano House and member of Puna Hongwanji Mission and Buddhist Women’s Association.
Private services were held. The family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.
She is survived by sons, Norman Makio of Hilo, and Wallace (Bernadita) Makio of Paauilo; daughter, Marilyn (Ted) Uehara of Mountain View; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and nephews, nieces and a cousin.

Terry Totman
Terry “Granny T” Marie Totman, 90, of Orchidland, died March 13, 2021, at her residence. Born in New Hampshire, she was a homemaker, formerly employed at the Hilo Medical Center, member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pahoa and a volunteer at Keonepoko Elementary School.

She is survived by daughters, Mary Ann Kuhl of Pahoa, Gail Marie (Steve) Palacky of Fairfield, California, and Paulette (Louie) Gangano of Orchidland; sons, Mark Totman of Seattl, Kent (LaRoyce) Totman of Vacaville, California, and James (Jennifer) Totman of Leavenworth, Washington; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Karen Evangelista
Karen Diane Olivera Evangelista, 77, of Mountain View, died Feb. 20, 2021, at the Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Hospice Facility. Born in Seattle, she was a former certified nursing assistant at the Life Care Center of Hilo, formerly worked at Verna’s Drive-In in Mountain View and a homemaker.
Services will be held 1 p.m. April 10 at the Carlsmith Beach Park. Casual attire.
She is survived by daughters, Chandra Olivera of Mountain View, and Devon Olivera of Michigan; mother, Virginia Cosper of Texas; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Masashi “Boston” Kitaoka, 87, of Kealakekua, died March 14, 2021, at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born Aug. 16, 1933, in Captain Cook, he was a retired recreation specialist for the County of Hawaii; a member of Kona Iki Trollers, Akitsu Kumi, Kona Senior Bowling League and Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.

He is survived by sons, Guy (Carol) Kitaoka of Kealakekua and Tracy Kitaoka of Honolulu; daughter, Cynthia (Terry) Taniyama of Holualoa; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Addison Harrison
Addison Earl “Bud” Harrison, 79, of Kailua-Kona, died March 9, 2021, at Kona Community Hospital. Born June 14, 1941, in Hood River, Oregon, he was a retired high school English teacher.
Services will be held at a later date.
He is survived by daughters, Julie (Tsukasa) Kamekaneya of Kailua-Kona and Kristi Harrison of Clatskanie, Oregon; son, Anthony Harrison of Clatskanie, Oregon; and two grandchildren.
