Police searching for Waimea teen

Big Island police are searching for 15-year-old Kaleo James Genda who was reported as a runaway by his family.

The Waimea teen was last seen in the Kohala Ranch subdivision around 6 p.m. on Wednesday leaving the area on a dirt bike, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

Genda is described as being part Hawaiian, 6 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray/blue T-shirt and white shorts. He is known to frequent Kapa‘au in North Kohala.
