Velma Lynn Kaleina‘alapuaokalani Warfield, 71, of Hilo died April 29 in Keaukaha. Born in Hilo, Hawaii, she was a retired real-estate agent for Mabes Crowell Realty and member of Waiakea Baptist Bible Church. Private services held. Survived by husband, Richard Pono Warfield of Hilo; son Shannon (Kaleo) Warfield of Waimea, Hawaii, daughter Nalani (Liusa) Laititi of Volcano, Hawaii, daughter Hinano (Milton) Nahinu of Waialua, Oahu and son Dr. Keahi Warfield (Naomi Ahu) of Keaukaha, Hawaii; eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Alvin E. “Chongie” Chong Jr., 66, of Waimea, died April 1, 2021, in Seattle. Born Sept. 16, 1954, in Honolulu, he was a plumber and retired as a plumbing engineer from North Hawaii Community Hospital, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Waipi’o Taro Farmers Association, and Waimea Hawaiian Home Association and coached Waimea Cowboy Pop Warner Football, Waimea Youth Baseball, Waimea Parks and Recreation Volleyball and Honoka’a High School Girls Volleyball.

Alberto Garcia Dalmacio, 69, of Pahoa, died Nov. 20, 2020, in Tarlac, Philippines. Born Aug. 7, 1951, in the Philippines, he was a retired sugar plantation worker for Hamakua Sugar Co. and papaya farmer.

Primo Cristobal Doctolero, 68, of Pahoa, died March 27, 2021, at his residence. Born June 9, 1952, in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a self-employed welder and automobile mechanic and a member of the Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
