Minor coastal flooding should be expected through late Friday due to the combination of park monthly high tides and above-normal high sea levels.

Impacts may include flooding of beaches that are normally dry and salt water inundation on typically vulnerable low-lying roads, docks, boat ramps, and other coastal infrastructure, according to the National Weather Service.

Motorists are advised to avoid driving through flooded roadways. If forced to drive through salt water, vehicles should be rinsed with fresh water. Forecasters also suggested moving electronics, vehicles or other valuables to higher ground.

Boaters are advised to monitor vessels to ensure that mooring lines don’t get too tight. Canoes and other watercraft stored on beaches should be secured.
