Robert Blair

Robert Charles Blair, 84, of Kehena, died May 14, 2021, at his residence. Born in 1937 in Nebraska, he was an Army veteran, a volunteer with the Civil Air Patrol, and a helicopter pilot for Paradise Helicopters.

He is survived bywife, Mary Blair; sons, Chad Blair, Mark Blair, and Michael Blair; daughter, Cristin Blair Malone; ex-wife Pat Blair; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Stephen Selke

Stephen Allan Selke, 67, of Hilo, died May 26, 2021, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Hospice Facility. He was born in Minneapolis.

He is survived by sister, Susan (Robert) Daley of Reno, Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rodney Quero

Rodney Alan Quero, 64, of Keaau, died April 12, 2021, in Hilo. Born in 1956 in Keaau, he worked for Holmes &Narver Inc. on Johnston Island and Enewetok Atoll.

He is survived by sister, Millie (Carl) Conol; brothers, Orlando (Maggie) Quero, Eldon (Lolita) Quero, and Reuben Quero; and numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, and cousins.

Charmaine Armitage

Charmaine “Maikalani” Deborah Armitage, 69, of Hilo, died May 27, 2021, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Aug. 30, 1951, in Honolulu, she worked as a funeral director at Nakamura Mortuary on Maui, homemaker and genealogist for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Family History Center.

Services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by husband, Robert Armitage Sr. of Hilo; daughters, Larrisa (Kirt) Cummings of Las Vegas, and Wondalee (Walter) Rios and Ginger Ann (Robert) Ke of Honolulu; sons, Robert (Nami Kekaualua) Armitage Jr. of Hilo, and Chad Armitage of Maui; hanai daughters, Melonee Armitage of Las Vegas, and Chasity Baucom of Hilo; hanai son, Alfred Magno Jr. of California; mother, Margaret Cummings of Waianae, Oahu; brothers, Lionel (Jackie) Cummings of Waianae, Oahu, and Harry (Carol) Cummings of Kaneohe, Oahu; sister, Georgette (Ronald) Woolsey of Lanai; 32 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
