Rosaria Figueroa

Rosaria Relles Figueroa, 93, of Niulii, died May 2, 2021, at the family’s residence. Born May 1, 1928, in Honokaa, she was a room maid at the former Kona Surf Resort and a member of St. John’s Catholic Church.

Services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by daughters, Lucille Kauhaihao of Washington, Lori (Reggie) Marcello and Gloria Yates, all of Kailua-Kona, and Emelia (Robert) Fernandez of Kohala; son, Gilbert Figueroa of Vancouver, WA; 32 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; 51 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joshen Nobriga-Fernandez

Joshen del Steven Austin Nobriga-Fernandez, 20, of Puna, died June 6, 2021, in Honolulu. He was born March 23, 2001, in Hilo.

Friends may call at noon June 26 at 15-1856 19th Ave. in Keaau for a celebration of life.

He is survived by parents, Zhonna Nobriga Soares and Frank Soares of Puna; father, Gustavus Morante of Hilo; brother, Shawn Nobriga Fernandez of Puna; grandparents, Daniel (Cheryl) Lewis of Puna, and Daniel (Diane) Fernandez of Kurtistown and Eloise Rodrigues of Puna; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Violet Victorino

Violet Souza Victorino, 89, of Hilo, died May 24, 2021, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born Feb. 8, 1932, in Pepeekeo, she was a retired dietary aide for the Life Care Center of Hilo and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.

Friends may call at 5 p.m. June 23 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 6 p.m. service. Friends may also call at 9 a.m. June 24 at the mortuary for a 10 a.m. service. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 at noon. Casual attire.

She is survived by sons, Herbert Victorino Jr. of Kohala, James (Peggy) Victorino of Washington, Charles (Norma) Victorino of Keaau, Joseph Victorino of California, Kenneth Victorino of Honolulu, Oahu, and Dennis Victorino of Hilo; daughters, Patricia Victorino, Melissa (Kaikala Kaopua) Arruda and Cathleen Kailiawa, all of Hilo, and Melinda (Jeremy) Keena of Santa Rosa, CA; brother, Robert Souza of Papaikou; 23 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rosita Ebreo

Rosita “Pat” Tabac Ebreo, 85, of Paauilo, died May 20, 2021, in Kailua-Kona. Born Feb. 7, 1936, in Makawao, Maui, she was a retired bank teller for Bank of Hawaii Hamakua branch, member and treasurer for Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, member of Paauilo Senior Citizens Club and member and treasurer for Paauilo ILWU Pension Club.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. July 10 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa for a 9:30 a.m. service with Mass to follow. Burial immediately to follow at the church cemetery.

She is survived by sons, Michael (Debra) Ebreo of Honokaa, James (Paula) Ebreo of Kailua-Kona, Raymond (Macaria Suguitan) Ebreo of Utah, and Brandon (Rachael) Bumanlug of Waimea; daughter, Raynette (Clifford) Akana of Kauai; brother, Amador Tabac of Paauhau; sisters, Beatrice Tabac of Waimea, and Marina (Nelson) Silva of Kauai; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
