Robert Reichman

Robert “Bob” Leon Reichman, 85, of Makalawena and Hawi, died June 14, 2021, at his North Kohala residence. Born Dec. 20, 1935 in New York City, he was the caretaker of Makalawena Beach since 1989 and a U.S. Army veteran.

Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice of North Hawaii are appreciated. Condolences to the family my be sent to Kije Hazelwood, PO Box 848, Kapaau, HI 96755.

He is survived by wife, Kije Hazelwood of North Kohala; brother, Sidney Reichman of Florida; sons, Michael Reichman and Kyrie Reichman both of California; stepchildren, Aaron Henry of Hawi, Tanya Henry of California, and Rebecca Bohucki of Arizona; numerous grandchildren; and a nephew.

Warren Miller

Warren “Bill” William Miller, 85, of Kailua-Kona, died June 12, 2021, at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born Oct. 20, 1935, in Lincoln, NE, he was a real estate broker, a former high school teacher, member of the Keauhou Yacht Club, Kona Elks Lodge and a U.S. Army veteran.

Services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by wife, Victoria Miller of Kailua-Kona; sister, Mary Simon of California; and two nieces and two nephews.

Helen Doria

Helen Leinaala Doria, 85, of Captain Cook, died June 7, 2021, at Kona Community Hospital. Born July 5, 1935, in Hilo, she was an executive sous chef at the former Kona Hilton Hotel and a member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church.

Services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by sons, Joseph (Desiree) Doria Jr. of Kealakekua and Kimo (Douri) Doria of Captain Cook; daughters, Alberta (Bryan) Allen of Kirkland, WA, and Penelope (John) Souza Captain Cook; sisters, Faye Medeiros of South Kona, and Pearl (Mike) Hind of Kailua-Kona; brother, Bucky Leslie of Captain Cook; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
