Marianne Maynard
Marianne Maynard, 78, of Kailua-Kona, died March 13, 2021, at her residence. Born Sept. 21, 1942, in Schenectady, New York, she was a retired high school teacher, Kona Outdoor Circle board member, Ironman World Championship volunteer, Girl Scouts camp counselor, former Kona Town greeter, and member of the Red Hat Na Wahine Kolohe Chapter.

She is survived by hanai sister, Betty Meyerson, hanai brother, Lee Meyerson; hanai daughter, Robin (Ken) Key, all of Kailua-Kona; and numerous hanai family and friends.

Carl Warner
Carl Bruce Warner, 89, of Kailua-Kona, died June 21, 2021, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Dec. 4, 1931, in Lincoln, NE, he was an electrical contractor, a technician with International Technology, a charter fishing captain and a U.S. Army and U.S. Navy veteran.
Services will be held at a later date.
He is survived by wife, Lona Warner of Kailua-Kona; son, Steve (Stephanie) Warner of Torrance, CA; daughters, Marie (George) Lepper and Lona (Mike) Guiza, all of California, and Ronona (Wazza) Cuffe of Australia; sister, Ann Rollins of Kailua-Kona; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins.

Carlina Ragual
Carlina Bufil Ragual, 92, of Hilo, died May 31, 2021, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Aug. 3, 1928, in Abra, Philippines, she was a teacher’s aide for the state Department of Education, member of Good Shepherd Mission in Honomu, Gospel of Salvation Church, Honomu Senior Citizens and Mohouli Senior Center; and a participant of Hawaii Island Adult Care.
Private services were held. No monetary donations or flowers.
She is survived by daughters, Linda (Demeterio) Berido of Talala, Oklahoma, Pauline (Fred) Ellamar of Hilo and Kathleen (Louis) Azevedo of Pepeekeo; sons, Alan (Geomel) Ragual and Russell (Kelli) Ragual of Pepeekeo; brother, Pilagio Bufil of Hilo; sister, Lourdes (Cazimero) Baruela of Hilo; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kathleen Tamashiro
Kathleen Taiko Tamashiro, 85, of Honolulu, died April 15, 2020, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Hospice Facility. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired seamstress for the former Rattan Art Gallery and a member of the Puna Baptist Church and Nuuanu Baptist Church.
Private services held. Inurnment at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific on Oahu at a later date.
She is survived by sons, Alan (Marlene) Tamashiro of Hilo and Daniel Tamashiro and Donald (Valerie) Tamashiro, all of Honolulu; grandson, Timothy Tamashiro of Hilo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
