Police seek whereabouts of Puna robbery suspect

Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man involved in a reported robbery that occurred June 20 near Shipman Beach on the Shipman Beach Trail in Kea‘au.

The suspect was described as being “local” and in his 30s, approximately 6 feet tall, with slim build, and short dark hair with a yellow-colored mohawk, according to the Hawaii Police Department. He was wearing a black shirt, black pants, and black shoes.
