Honoring Henry ‘Opukaha‘a’s return anniversary
Graveside Praise Celebration honoring the 28th anniversary of Henry ‘Opukaha‘a’s return home, 6 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, at Kahikolu Congregational Church Cemetery on Napo‘opo‘o Road in Kepulu, South Kona.
The Public is invited to bring your conch shells, bamboo flutes and ram’s horn shofars to welcome the new day. Ukuleles, guitars, tambourines and other musical instruments are suggested to accompany a few songs of Praise. The celebration should last a half hour, followed by a potluck breakfast at the pavilion at Kealakekua Bay State Park.
