Wildlife Wednesdays: Virtual presentations on protecting Hawaiian endangered species kick off this week

The Hawaii State Public Library System will host a trio of free virtual talks on Wednesdays at noon.

Learn about protecting endangered bird species, how dogs are serving on the front lines of conservation and about the elusive ‘ope‘ape‘a, the native Hawaiian hoary bat during the series that kicks off this Wednesday and continues through Oct. 20.

Registration is required for the hour-long online presentations. The three sessions are:

• Wednesday: Solving the Hawaiian Bird Extinction Crisis Through Invasive Species Removal and Climate Change Adaptation, presented by Pacific Rim Conservation. Register at https://tinyurl.com/4zxm835j.
