Capt. Jack Ross and his neighbor Jackie Glenn took flight on the UFO Parasail adventure Wednesday morning over Kailua Bay.

Ross, 94, is a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. As a “cradle enlistment” in the U.S. Navy, he had to have his mother co-sign for him because he was only 17 years old.

Capt. Jack, as he is referred to by friends, moved to the Big Island in 1963 with his late wife, Helen, and their four children where he had a successful sport fishing business. He continues to reside in Kona and enjoys life to the fullest.
