Wanda DuPont

Wanda Pla Dupont, 69, of Hilo, died Oct. 30, 2021, at Hilo Medical Center. Born on Oahu, she was a former waitress at Hawaii Naniloa Resort, Restaurant Osaka, Hukilau Restaurant, and Sun Sun Lau Restaurant.

Friends may call at noon Dec. 11 at her home at 40 Hokupaa St. in Hilo for a celebration of life.

She is survived by husband, Howard Dupont of Hilo; son, Kenward (Jerry Hoffled) Dupont of Hilo; daughter, Yolanda Dupont (Christopher Kaukini) of Hilo; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and and numerous cousins.

Erenio Ortiz Jr.

Erenio “Ernie” “Junior” Brudo Ortiz Jr., 59, of Kailua-Kona, died Nov. 5, 2021, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Feb. 18, 1962, in Kealakekua, he was a service agent for E.A.N. Holding and an auto mechanic.

Services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by companion, Latty Vierra of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Jessica (Kawika Rodriguez) Ortiz and Latasha (Riley Saplan) Ortiz, all of Kailua-Kona; sons, David Ortiz of Kauai and Aaron (Alissa) Ortiz of Waimea; father, Erenio Ortiz Sr., of Kailua-Kona; brothers, Alex (Sherry) Ortiz of Holualoa, Jeff (Rose Miranda) Ortiz, and Leroy Ortiz; sisters, Beverly (Jeremiah Fennegan) Sadumiano and Janet (Phil) Acorda, all of Kailua-Kona; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

John Telisman Jr.

John Allen Telisman Jr., 61, of Kurtistown, died Nov. 8, 2021, at Pohai Malama in Hilo. Born Dec. 24, 1959, in Euclid, Ohio, he was a carpenter and owner of John Telisman Construction and Maintenance.

Services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by wife, Anne Park of Hawaiian Acres; sons, Aden Telisman of Keaau and Danny Telisman; daughters, April Lyles and Angela Woolsey, both of Florida; brothers, Raymond Telisman and Robert Campbell; sister, Lisa Harrison; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
