Kona Commons hosts holiday concert series: KPO to perform weekly through Dec. 18

Enjoy the music of the holidays each weekend of the season as small ensembles from the Kamuela Philharmonic Orchestra perform at Kona Commons Shopping Center.

Starting Thanksgiving weekend with a woodwind quintet from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. today, and running through Dec. 18, these talented musicians will share a symphonic selection of holiday melodies.

All performances are free and open to the public. All COVID-19 protocols will be observed, including face mask wearing, hand sanitization and social distancing.

The schedule is as follows:

• Today: 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. – Woodwind Quintet

• Saturday, Nov. 27, 2 to 3 p.m. – Horn Duet

• Friday, Dec. 3, 3 to 4 p.m. – Kona Classy Strings (violins)

• Saturday, Dec. 4, 3 to 4 p.m. – String French Horn Trio

• Sunday, Dec. 5, 3 to 4 p.m. – Kona Music Gals

• Friday, Dec. 10, 2 to 3 p.m. – Kilauea Kwintet

• Friday, Dec. 10, 3 to 4 p.m. – Kona Classy Strings (violins)

• Saturday, Dec. 11, 2 to 3 p.m. – Kilauea Kwintet

• Sunday, Dec. 12, 3 to 4 p.m. – The Kona Brass

• Friday, Dec. 17, 4 to 5 p.m. – Mixed Ensemble of musicians

• Saturday, Dec. 18, 3 to 4 p.m. – String French Horn Trio
