Ralph Roland

Ralph Roland, 84, of Ocean View, died Oct. 10, 2021 at Kona Community Hospital. Born Sept. 3, 1937, in Los Angeles, he was an architect.

He has no known next of kin.

Alan Wood

Alan Joe Wood, 73, of Kealakekua, died Nov. 16, 2021 at the Kona Community Hospital. Born in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, he was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by son, David (Nani) Wood of Lahaina, Maui; daughter, Nina Tasker of Oregion; mother, Merle Wood of California; brother, John (Lisa) Wood of California; sister, Betty Shields of California; and one grandson.

Glenn Montibon

Glenn “Tego” Montibon, 60, of Hilo, died Nov. 16, 2021 at Hilo Medical Center. He was born on Oct. 3, 1961, in Hilo.

Private services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by son, Glenn Montibon Jr.; father, Filemon Montibon; sister, Debbie (Larry) Suenishi; brothers, Juan Saniatan, Dennis (Sharon) Saniatan, Gordon (Loretta) Montibon, Mervin (Lona) Montibon, Russel (Donna) Montibon, Nelson (Jocelyn) Montibon and Vernon (Penny) Montibon; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gregory Meath

Gregory Paul Meath, 67 of Naalehu died Nov. 24, 2021. Born July 18, 1954, in St. Paul, Minnesota, he was a U.S. Army veteran and an electrician for a machine manufacturing company.

Private services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by step-son Austin Clough of Oklahoma; step-daughter Cassie (Trevor) Kubiak of Wisconsin; sisters, Susan Bergdahl of Holualoa, and Charlene Sukhun of Stillwater, Minnesota; and one step-grandchild.

Beverly Young

Beverly May Young, 78, of Kailua-Kona, died Nov. 18, 2021 at Kona Community Hospital. Born March 8, 1943, in Pennsylvania, she was a retired human resources director at the King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel.

She is survived by husband, Tyrone Young; daughters, Jessica (Graham) Williamson, and Jennifer Finau, all of Kailua-Kona; and two grandchildren.
