The summits of Maunakea and Mauna Loa received a blanketing of snow overnight Monday into Tuesday.

The access road to the summit of Maunakea remained closed to the public at the Visitor Information Station at the 9,200 foot level due to high humidity, below freezing temperatures, snow and icy road conditions and thick fog as of press-time Tuesday.
