Fire officials are investigating the cause of a Saturday evening residential fire in Hilo.

Responding to the 6:46 p.m. alarm, firefighters arrived at the scene on Mohouli Street to find a two-story residence about 80% ablaze, according to the Hawaii Fire Department.

Nineteen firefighters were sent to battle the fire, getting it under control at 7 p.m. and out 18 minutes later.

Damage was estimated at $140,000. No injuries were reported.
