The Blue Sea Artisans Gallery featured artist for the month of January is vintage jewelry artist Cathie Ann Amelotte.
Amelotte collects timeless treasures and creates new jewelry pieces. The blending of traditional beads and components with familiar current styles is refreshing and unique.
“If ever there was a time when art can bring joy to one’s spirit, it is now,” she states. “Beauty in the Earth’s gifts and hand-crafted items are reminders of the love and creativity that just has to flow outward.”
Amelotte encourages nonprofit organizations to contact her for donations of jewelry for fundraising efforts.
Amelotte will be at the gallery on Wednesdays. She hopes to hold classes in 2022, but that will depend on regulations set forth by the county. Call the gallery and leave contact information if interested.
The gallery, located in the Keauhou Shopping Center, is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Modnay and Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
