Fire officials are investigating the cause of a Sunday night structure in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision of Puna.

Responding to the 9:13 p.m. alarm, Hawaii Fire Department firefighters arrived at a vacant home near the dead end of Kaloli Drive and 18th Avenue to find the 6,000-square-foot structure engulfed in flames.

A neighbor reported the fire after looking outside and seeing flames coming from the structure after hearing their dogs parking.

No nearby structures were threatened. No injuries were reported.
