Dennis Villanueva
Dennis Allan Villanueva, 70, of Kealakekua, died Jan. 19, 2022 at his residence. Born Aug. 21, 1951, in Oahu, he retired from the Four Seasons Resort, worked at Big Surf Security Co. and was a member of Kona Renegades with the Senior Softball League.
Services will be held at a later date.
He is survived by wife, Anna Villanueva of Kealakekua; sons, Samson (Kahale Colburn) Villanueva of Kailua-Kona and Bulla (Davelynn Esperanza) Villanueva of Ho’okena; daughters, Kavy Villanueva of Kealakekua, Tiare DeAguiar of Captain Cook, Colette Mockchew of Holualoa, Tasha Bunch of Kailua-Kona and Michelle Ono of Honalo; brothers, Clayton (Catherine) Villanueva of Kailua-Kona and Marcelino (Karen) Macedonia of Waipahu, Oahu; sisters, Janet (Clarence) McCoy of Amanda, Ohio, Rosemarie (Rick) Redman of Kailua-Kona, Lorraine (Neal) Kadooka of Kealakekua, Florence (David) Schamehorn of Lancaster, Ohio, and Sarah (Alvin) Villanueva of Copperton, Utah; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kikue Yagi
Kikue Yagi, 100, of Hilo, died Dec. 14, 2021 at her residence. Born Aug. 30, 1921, in Pepeekeo, she was retired from Kulana Foods, Ltd., and was a member of the Hilo Hooganji Buddhist Temple.
Private services held. The family requests that flowers and koden (monetary offerings) be omitted.
She is survived by son, Wayne (Jean) Yagi of Hilo; daughters, Verne (Alan) Yoshinaga of Hilo and Vivian Yamamoto of Kaneohe, Oahu; brothers, Edward Urasaki of California and Masato Urasaki of Hilo; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
