KS-Hawaii 2, Island School 1 (2 OT)

Against Kauai’s Island School, Kamehameha’s Elijah Dinkel netted the game-winner in the 98th minute of play to send the Warriors onto Saturday’s HHSAA Division II Championship.

The Warriors rallied from an early deficit; Island School’s Carlos Lang scored the game’s first goal just three minutes before halftime, but Kamehameha’s Kyle Derasin responded just two minutes later.

Saturday’s D-II Championship game is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. at Radford High School.

Hilo 2, Kaiser 1 (PK)

The Vikings and Cougars finished regulation and both overtimes locked in a 1-1 tie. Hilo’s Kaumuali’i Harman gave the Vikings the lead in the first half, while Kaiser’s Ian Ngonethong responded midway through the second half.

After both overtimes ended without a goal by either team, Hilo outpaced Kaiser 4-2 in penalty kicks to advance to the HHSAA Division I Championship. Start time at Radford High School is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Seabury 3, Hawaii Prep 1

Aidan Santos put Ka Makani up early with a goal in the game’s sixth minute, but a hat trick by Seabury’s James Haynes put an end to Hawaii Prep’s title hopes.

Ka Makani will square off against Island School Saturday in the third place game; start time at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex is scheduled for 1 p.m.
