Donald Case Sr.

Donald “Chucky” Leilani Case Sr., 81, of Waimea, died March 26, 2022 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born April 26, 1940 in North Kohala, he was a retired irrigator for Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Waimea 1st Ward.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. April 23 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Waimea for a 10 a.m. service. Casual attire.

He is survived by wife, Iwalani Case of Waimea; children, Donald (Malia) Case Jr. of Waimea, Donalle (Kahana) Cazimero of Waikoloa, Donalyn Nihipali of Mountain View, and Kekai (Pumehana) Case of Kawaihae; brothers, Richard (Camille) Case, William (Delma) Case and Lloyd (Keomailani) Case of Waimea, and Norman Case of Hilo; sister, Piilani Staszkow Fraser of Kailua, Oahu; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Raeann Kamakawiwoole

Raeann “Annie” Kamakawiwoole, 34, of Paauilo, died March 24, 2022, at Hilo Medical Center. She was born Oct. 24, 1987, in Hilo.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. April 16 at Paauilo Hongwanji for a 10 a.m. service. Scattering of ashes at a later date. Family requests casual attire be worn and flowers and lei are welcome.

She is survived husband, Troy Kamakawiwoole of Paauilo; daughters, Raesha Kamakawiwoole and Rya Kamakawiwoole of Paauilo; sons, Ryler Kamakawiwoole, Tyren Kamakawiwoole and Troy Kamakawiwoole Jr. of Paauilo; mother, Dortine Bailado of Paauilo; sisters, Rena Bailado and Rexann (Alinter) Keju of Paauilo; brothers, Rocky (Valene) Bailado and Raymond (Karena) Bailado of Paauilo, Rolan (Ermalyn) Bailado of Las Vegas; hanai parents, DonnaMae (Mark) Mangauil of Paauilo; hanai brother, Makoboy Mangauil of Paauilo; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Jane Horiuchi

Jane Hisae Horiuchi, 74, of Keaau, died March 11, 2022. Born in Kurtistown, she was a self-employed horticulturist, and member Hilo Higashi Hongwanji.

Private service held.

She is survived by her husband; three children; and five grandchildren.

Clifford Denis Sr.

Clifford Wallace Denis Sr., 72, of Kalaoa, Kona, died March 21, 2022 at Palimomi Medical Center. Born May 26, 1949, in Kealakekua, he was the owner of Wally’s Hauling, a truck driver for Isemoto’s Construction Company and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. April 13 at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona for a graveside service. The family requests casual attire.

He is survived by companion, Vivian Nahakuelua; daughter, Sherry Ann Denis, both of Kalaoa, Kona; sons, Clifford Denis Jr. of Holualoa, Darren Denis of Napoopoo and Chad Denis of Kalaoa, Kona; brother, Ronald (Momi) Denis of Kailua-Kona; sisters, Charlotte (Clive) Izuno of Honalo, Corrine Mahi and Jennie Denis, both of Anchorage, Alaksa, and Moani (Mike) Denis-McRight of Honaunau; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
