Registration is now open for a Summer Enrichment Program being offered at Konawaena and Kealakehe elementary schools by the La‘i ‘Opua 2020 Enrichment Program.
This free program runs from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday June 6 through July 15, except on June 10 and July 4.
The Kealakehe program will accept students in grades kindergarten through seventh grade; at Konawaena elementary the program is available to kindergarten through fifth grade students. Keiki can be from any school, homeschooled, or visiting relatives for the summer.
The creative, interactive curriculum focuses on three main areas – English language literacy, STEAM, and Hawaiian language and culture. The ALOHA code of conduct is observed and small class sizes, one teacher to 10 students, create opportunities for individual attention.
