One of Hawaii’s premier music festivals returns after being postponed three times due to COVID-19 . The ninth annual Big Island Jazz and Blues Festival takes place 5 to 9 p.m. June 4.

The event will celebrate with Grammy Award-winning jazz, blues, rock, zydeco, Cajun and soul musicians that take the stage oceanfront at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. Performers Zydeko with Wayne Toups, Canned Heat Leadman Dale Splading a Hawai’i Island DEBUT, NEA Jazz Master and Big Chief of Mardi Gras Saxophonist Donald Harrison, The Iguanas from New Orleans, Skip Martin from Kool and the Gang and DAZZ Band, Saxophonist Masters Javon Jackson and Eric Marienthal, John Keawe, Sarah Bethany and more.

Preceding the June 4 festival is a JazzFest dinner at Redwater Cafe in Waimea on June 2 followed by a second JazzFest dinner June 3 at Copper Bar at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, which will offer a sneak preview and meet and great with artists.
