Fire officials are investigating the cause of a Thursday morning structure fire in Kailua-Kona.

Responding to the 9:33 a.m. report, Hawaii Fire Department personnel arrived at 76-6187 Alii Drive to find a single-story residence engulfed in flames, with fire threatening other homes, according to a media release.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control within 10 minutes of their arrival at 9:41 a.m. The fire was declared out at 9:52 a.m.

Bystanders reported the home was unoccupied at the time of the fire. No injures were reported.
