The Kona-Hawaii Elks Lodge #2616 hosts a Veterans Health and Wellness Fair at Hale Halawai Park from 1 to 7 p.m. June 10.

This community outreach event is free of charge. It features displays from many different health and wellness providers on the Big Island and the Kona Coast, plus displays from veteran’s organizations and resources.

Many people provide wellness services and support to American veterans here on the Big Island’s Kona Coast. The Veteran’s Health and Wellness Fair is a way to connect with service providers and the general veterans support community. Learn new ways to take care of your health and wellness: from nutrition and heart health, to using exercise, occupational therapy and tai chi to stay strong. The Veterans Health and Wellness Fair also features practitioners who aid with anxiety, PTSD, general health, mental health, communication, family wellness and more.

The fair is presented as a community outreach event between the community and all veterans in the Kailua-Kona area. Participants from local island veteran’s organizations include VA.Gov, American Legion, VFW, Disabled American Vets, Korean War Vets and Vietnam War Vets, in addition to other local organizations.

Organizations offering services to veterans on the Big Island, that would like to participate, can contact secretary@konaelks.org, catmikkhealth@gmail.com or phone (808) 329-2616.
