Lyanne Moiha

Lyanne “Aunty Ilima” Ako Moiha of Hawi, died June 7, 2022 at Kona Community Hospital. Born Dec. 14, 1941, in Kawaihae, he was a pastor for the Gospel of Salvation Church in Kohala.

Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. July 0 at Gospel of Salvation Church in Kohala for an 11 a.m. service. Burial to follow at the Hawi County Cemetery in Kohala.

She is survived by daughters, Antonette (John) Ganir of Pahoa, Lydia Moiha and Leoni Moiha of Kohala; hanai daughter, Marisa Pizarro of Hawaii; sister in-law, Priscilla (Albert) Matsuoka of Waimea; 15 grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Artemia Guillermo

Artemia Bala Guillermo, 99, of Waimea, died May 31, 2022 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born Feb. 10, 1923, in Banna, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was the former co-owner and proprietress of Bataan Store in Paauilo and a member of the Honokaa Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Hawaii.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. July 10 at Honokaa Adventist Church for an 11:30 a.m. service. Urn burial to follow at the church cemetery.

She is survived by children, Roy (Cindy Caravalho) Guillermo, Jean (Rudy) Familar and Emmalisa (Michael) Marquez of Waimea; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Norma Bala, Theresa Dumapay and Emma Abaton of Philippines; brother, Juanito Abaton of Philippines; and numerous nieces and nephews.
