AARP Hawaii and Hawaii Community Caregiver Network are holding a free Caregiver to Caregiver breakfast at the Royal Kona Resort from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Nov. 9.

“I was a family caregiver for my husband, I know how difficult it is to balance work, caregiving and life in general. It makes a big difference to be able to talk to other caregivers about the challenges we face and to know that you are not alone,” said Roberta Wong Murray, AARP Hawaii volunteer. “If you attend our workshop, you’ll meet other caregivers and learn about resources available to you. Plus if you register in advance, you’ll get a free breakfast on us.”

“Family caregivers often sacrifice their own health and well-being to care for others,” said Heloise Lochman, President of the Hawaii Community Caregiver Network. “This is a chance for them to take a break and get support.”

This event is free but registration is required. Early signup is suggested. To find out more and register visit, http://aarp.cvent.com/HI_Care or call (877) 926-8300.
