Kimie Miner announces inaugural holiday tour

Grammy-nominated producer, singer/songwriter, and co-founder/CEO of Haku Collective Kimie Miner recently announced her inaugural “Christmas in Hawaii: Kimie Miner & Friends Tour.”

The tour will take place between Nov. 26 and Dec. 23 with concerts on Hawaii Island, Oahu, Maui and Kauai. Hawaii Island shows are slated Nov. 26 in Kona and Nov. 27 in HIlo.

The statewide tour will feature live shows with award-winning guest artists such as Paula Fuga, Makaha Sons, Kalani Pe‘a, Napua Greig, Hawaii Symphony Orchestra, DeAndre, Imua Garza and celebrated halau from each island.

“This tour is dedicated to bringing ʻohana and community together in a spirit of joy and shared commitment to the unifying power of our Hawaiian mele. This tour is my Christmas wish and gift to the islands, honoring our collective endurance and resiliency as we take time to celebrate Christmas in Hawaii, as only we can,” said Miner.

The Nov. 26 show will take place at Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa’s luau grounds. It will featuring Paula Fuga, Wehilei Ryder, Asialynn Yap, The Lim Family and Halau Ka’eaikahelelani (Na Kumu Hula Ka’ea Lyons-Yglesias and Kumu Kahelelani Alohikea-Smith). Also planned is The Mele Marketplace where residents can find locally crafted items.

The Nov. 27 show will take place at Hilo Palace Theater and will feature Paula Fuga with Halau Ka’eaikahelelani (Na Kumu Hula Ka’ea Lyons-Yglesias and Kumu Kahelelani Alohikea-Smith).
