Thomas Rezentes

Thomas “Tommy” Earl Rezentes, 85 of Hilo, died Nov. 13, 2022 at Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired tractor mower operator for the state DOE, worked at Ming’s Jewelry before opening his own jewelry business; and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo. Visitation 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Dec. 9 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo; Mass to follow at 9:30 a.m. Graveside Service at Homelani Memorial Park to follow. Casual attire requested. He is survived by wife, Yvonne Rezentes of Hilo; son, Bradley (Shari) Rezentes of Hilo; daughter, Monica Delostrio (Michael Ortiz) of Glenwood, Hawaii; sister, Velma Felix of Hilo; three grand-daughters and four great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren. Lance Okimoto

Lance Takao Okimoto, 72, of Papaikou, died Nov. 14, 2022, at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Onomea, he was retired from the State Department of Human Services. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Papaikou Hongwanji Hall, 27-378 Old Mamalahoa Hwy. for a celebration of life. Family requests casual attire be worn. He is survived by wife, Ellen Okimoto of Papaikou; daughters, Lisa (David) Tano of Portland, Ore., Kayla (Chad Suzuki) Okimoto of Hilo; sister, Dale (William) Higa of Pearl City, Oahu; brother, Neal Okimoto of Keaau; mother-in-law, Eleanor Hirano of Hilo; sister-in-law, Susan (Brian) Yamasaki of Honolulu; brother-in-law, Michael (Cathy) Hirano of Los Angeles; grandson, Dominic Tano; nieces, nephews and cousins. Richard Nakahara

Richard Shigeo Nakahara, 77, of Hawi, died Nov. 15, 2022, at Kohala Hospital. Born in Kohala, he was the general manager for M. Nakahara Store, a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran and member of Hawi Jodo Mission, Kohala Merchants Association and Kohala Golf Club. Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 10 at Hawi Jodo Mission for an 11 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.
