Suzanne Simonds

Suzanne Karn Simonds, 83, of Waimea, died Dec. 6, 2022 in Waimea. Born on June 24, 1939, in St. Louis, Missouril, she was a business manager for a gallery. She is survived by sons Michael (Heather) Simonds of Wylie, Texas; Matt (Lynn) Simonds of Nashville, Tennessee; brother Bob (Sue) Karn of Florida; sister Sally Karn of Florida; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Private services will be held. Services provided by Ballard Family Mortuary.

Patrick Tinao

Patrick David Tinao, 65, of Kailua-Kona, died Oct. 24, 2022 at Kona Community Hospital. Born Sept. 8, 1957, in Honolulu, he was a security guard for Viking Security. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Jan. 21, 2023, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kailua-Kona. The family requests casual attire. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Tinao of Kealakekua; daughters, Sylvia (Javier) Domingo of Salem, OR., Brandy (Parker) Babcock of Waialua; sons, Mathew (Aala) Tinao of Kailua-Kona and Body (Kaulu) Tinao of Kealakekua; sister, Jolene (Gerald) Wike of Kalaoa; brothers, Gary Tinao, Robert Tinao and Edward Tinao, all of Kailua-Kona; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Beverly Lasher

Beverly Jane Krizan Lasher, 92, of Hilo, died Dec. 12, 2022, at Legacy Hilo Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. Born in St. Paul, Minn., she was a retired gift shop manager, former restaurant owner and member of Christ Lutheran Church. Services to be held at a later date. She is survived by sister, Deanna Edwards of Minnesota; hanai daughter, Charlene (Manuel) Soares of Keaau; daughter-in-law, Almire Lasher of Canada; and a niece. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
