Kona Seniors gather today

The Kona Seniors meet at 10 a.m. today at Hale Halewai in Kailua-Kona.

Attendees will take part in coffee and tea followed by a regular meeting and games. New members welcome.

Low vision support group meets Jan. 13

The National Federation of the Blind, West Hawaii Chapter, Low Vision Support Group will meet at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 13 at Hale Halawai in Kailua Kona.

The group meets monthly to share information on dealing with vision loss and welcomes new members.

Kona recreation division permit office moving

The Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation announces the Kona Recreation Division permit office, located at the West Hawaii Civic Center, will be relocating to Kailua Park effective Feb. 1.

The new permitting office will be located outside the Kona Community Aquatics Center building adjacent to Kekuaokalani Gym on Kuakini Highway. Office hours will be 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The new permit office can be reached at (808) 327-3560.
