Glenn Wayne Miles, 70, of Kailua-Kona, died Jan. 1, 2023, at his residence. Born Jan. 10, 1952 in California, he was an office manager for Grabber Kona and retired from Heritage Construction, and was a member of St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church in Kailua-Kona and an AYSO Soccer Coach. Visitation will be held from 9:15 to 10 a.m. Feb. 18 at St. Michael Catholic Church; memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire. He is survived by wife, Debra Miles of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Malia Miles of Kailua-Kona and Alysha (Joseph) Sizar of Hilo; sister, Carol (Reginald) Nolte of Texas; grandchildren; great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rita Myhre

Rita Gay Myhre, 80, of Keaau, died Nov. 18, 2022 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, she was a registered nurse and a coordinator of Shelter Service For Women in Santa Barbara, CA. Memorial services will be held at a later date. She is survived by son, Arnold Myhre of Santa Maria, CA.; daughters, Michelle (Robert) Gulvin of Santa Barbara, CA and Melissa (Orlando Hollingsworth) Myhre of Keaau; brother, Richard West of Santa Maria, CA and Beverly (James) Riddle of Redding, CA; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Allan Martin Jr.

Allan Bert Martin Jr., 83, of Keaau, died Jan. 21, 2023, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born May 27, 1939, in Kohala, he was a Computer System Analysis Worker for the Ala Moana Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii. He also was Veteran in the US Marine Corps. Memorial Services/ Celebration of His Life will be held at a later date. He is survived by wife, Chang Martin of Keaau; sons, Todd Martin, Stewart (Kaori) Martin and George Casey of Honolulu; daughter, Laura Casey of Hilo; eight grandchildren; brothers, James Martin of Hilo and John Martin of Honolulu; sister, Nancy Martin of Honolulu; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Frances Pereira

Frances G. Pereira, 97, of Hilo, died Jan. 6, 2023 at Kona. She was born May 25, 1925, in Maui. Private burial was held. She is survived by daughters, Edie Kahula Pereira of California and Mari Pereira of Kona; grandson, Micah Blue Salvaggio of Kona. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Barry Kela Kamalii, 64, of Hilo, died Jan. 3 at the Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hilo and was a papaya farm worker. Private services held. He is survived by daughters, Barrilyn Kamalii of Hilo and Jerrilyn Kamalii of Hanapepe; sisters, Leatrice Kamalii, Marilyn Kamalii and Jolana (Ryan Fukui) Colobong, all of Hilo; four grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
